The Flow System Certification Workflow

The Flow System Foundations (FS-1) Certification (1):

• 1. Foundations
  • a. Two options for certification
    • i. Take Foundations Course and pass Exam (≥ 85%).
      • 1. Two attempts at Exam.
    • ii. Take Exam online (≥ 85%).
      • 1. One attempt at Exam

Advance Course Certification (5):

1. Flow Thinking (FL-A1)
2. Complexity Thinking (CT-A1)
3. Distributed Leadership (DL-A1)
4. Team Science (TS-A1)
5. Lean Thinking (LT-A1)

The Flow System Foundations (FS-1) course is a prerequisite for any of the advanced courses.

The Flow System Foundations (FS-1) exam must have been completed successfully before being able to enroll in any of the advanced courses. For example, to achieve an ‘Advanced Certification in Flow Thinking (FL-A1)’, one must first pass the The Flow System Foundations (FS-1) exam (with training course or by taking online exam without training course) followed by passing the Advanced Flow Thinking (FL-A1) exam (with Flow Thinking training course or by taking the online Flow Thinking exam without training course).

Each consecutive advanced course will result in obtaining another advanced certification (after obtaining the Foundations certification). For example, after obtaining an ‘Advanced Certification in Flow Thinking (FL-A1)’, one may take any additional advanced courses (Lean Thinking, LT-A1; Complexity Thinking, CT-A1; Distributed Leadership, DL-A1; Team Science, TS-A1) to obtain a second Advanced Certification (certification requires passing the respective exam). In total, there are five advanced certifications that can be obtained once the The Flow System Foundations (FS-1) certification has been successfully completed.

It is recommended to complete The Flow System Foundations (FS-1) certification, followed by completing each of the five advanced certifications before moving on to any mastery certification course. By obtaining The Flow System Foundations (FS-1) certification, along with a certification in each of the five advanced courses (Lean Thinking, LT-A1; Complexity Thinking, CT-A1; Distributed Leadership, DL-A1; Team Science, TS-A1), participants will have gained a strong foundational knowledge base on The Flow System. With this foundational knowledge base, participants can then continue to a mastery track of their choosing. It is recommended for participants to focus on developing their knowledge and skills in areas that are less familiar/comfortable to them. The Mastery tracks offer participants the opportunity to expand their knowledge and skills in one of five areas of concentration. Ultimately, the goal is to provide participants with the necessary knowledge, skills, techniques, and tools to support their professional growth and to support their efforts in making a positive impact in their work environment.

The following recommended path is provided below:

• 1. The Flow System Foundation (FS-1) Certification
• 2. Advanced Certification in each of the five advanced courses (Lean Thinking, LT-A1; Complexity Thinking, CT-A1; Distributed Leadership, DL-A1; Team Science, TS-A1). The order in which the advanced courses are taken is not too critical. While it is idea to take each course in the order listed below, scheduling and availability may not allow for every participant to do so. The only prerequisite for any of the five advanced courses is that one must first obtain The Flow System Foundation (FS-1) certification before moving on to any of the five advanced courses.
